Scottish Ecology, Environment and Conservation Conference 2020
April 7, 2020 - April 8, 2020
What will Scotland’s future look like in 5, 10, 50 or 200 years? How will the environment change? How do we want it to change? How will Brexit and other new policies affect Scotland’s conservation areas? What effects will climate change have on Scotland’s coastal and terrestrial ecology? How can we minimise negative and maximise positive environmental impacts? What role does renewable energy play in Scotland?
This is the fifth Scottish Environment, Ecology and Conservation Conference (SEECC) geared towards advanced undergraduate and postgraduate students. It offers fantastic opportunities to present the very best of research work and to meet with government staff, agencies, NGOs and researchers keen to make the best use of excellent research.
2020 has been designated Scotland’s Year of Coasts and Waters which will be this year’s main conference theme. However, we also invite students to present their studies on other themes related to Scotland’s ecology, environment and conservation.

The use of science and medicine to address conservation challenges in the field and inform management decisions through the application of novel ideas, new technologies, or big data.
Supporting the development of evidence-based sustainable conservation policies through the production and analysis of research data.
Offering education and professional development to empower current and future generations of conservation scientists.
